Numerical analysis of isolated end-flattened steel bars under compression in space trusses

چکیده
This research aims to characterize the behavior of isolated end-flattened steel bars under compressive loading, in which global instabilities or excessive local deformations represent a significant part causes structural collapse. The association numerical analyses using finite element method (FEM) with previously collected experimental data is performed, and their respective results are core object critical analysis this work. Numerical simulations based on modified Riks method, complemented by modal analysis, whose demonstrate occurrence aforementioned failure modes prototypes slenderness ratios varying spectrum from 20 200.
